Texa's van and truck diagnostics software has been upgraded, with the new IDC4 now featuring better graphics, easier selection, new functions and a multimedia and customer information area.
The firm says it's about making mechanics' lives as easy as possible, despite the growing complexity of today's vehicles.
As such, the software provides a repair guide that suggests parameters needing to be checked, immediately displays errors and guides technicians through repair processes.
With more than 250 makes and over 32,000 models and engine variants now covered (constantly expanding), it is available in Light, Plus and Info versions, and as PC and Pocket formats.
The system controls all Texa diagnostic tools, including the oscilloscope, exhaust gas analyser, servicing and emission certification, air conditioning recharge stations, and Texa's miniaturised OBD Matrix – for installation on vehicles to diagnose intermittent and transient errors.
Incidentally, OBD Matrix won the Automechanika Repair and Diagnosis award for its ability to monitor not only EOBD protocol errors but also other electronically-controlled components, including brakes, clutch, gearbox, suspension and ABS.
Also, the firm has massively expanded its offices in Nelson Lancashire. Says UK managing director David Tempest: "We are now in a position to rapidly expand our share of the UK market … and the new IDC4 software and the updated OBD range will be instrumental in Texa achieving its goals."
