A FANTASTIC opportunity has become available for a Sales Engineer based in East Yorkshire. The Ideal candidate will have experience in the truck and trailer industry, but this role will be suited to an experienced capital goods sales engineer.
The sales engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support and advice to the field sales managers regarding specification, and also customers on the legislation effecting their intended commercial truck and trailer plans
Duties
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance, to enable our products to be matched to the customers requirement.
• Proactively learn about product range, and the legislation that effects our products in the market place.
• Understand product cost/price to help achieve profitable sales.
• Use engineering team resources to solve problems and exploit opportunities.
• Influence design changes to meet market expectations.
• Manage standard product specifications, and maintain accordance with company procedures.
• Responsibility for maintaining standard sales specifications document.
• Assistance with specific house accounts.
• Assist in tender documents.
• Assist in the resolution of defect or warranty problems.
Person
• Knowledge of the commercial vehicle sector.
• Extensive Travel may be required
• Degree qualified engineer
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Software
• Competent in interpreting engineering drawings and using CAD Software
