MC Truck & Bus Portsmouth grows RCV service business

MC Truck & Bus Portsmouth is reporting a “significant” increase in servicing and contract work for Dennis Eagle RCVs, since the truck manufacturer started using Volvo engines.

An official sub-contractor workshop for Dennis Eagle and a long-established Volvo dealership, MC Truck & Bus Portsmouth has an eight-bay workshop able to handle up to 16 vehicles at a time.

It also offers fabrication work for body repairs, brake testing and full diagnostics on all makes, together with the added facility of a 24-hour Volvo mobile breakdown service.

“In the last 12 months we have seen an upturn in business from several local councils, due to the Volvo engine crossover with Dennis Eagle, matched to the extensive workshop facilities and skills that we have here in Portsmouth for the Dennis Eagle product,” says Daniel Needham, general manager at the dealership.

The site, he adds, provides operators of Dennis Eagle vehicles with “a one-stop shop for their servicing and maintenance requirements, engine warranty repairs including the chassis and the body”.

MC Truck & Bus Portsmouth has been an authorised workshop for the RCV manufacturer since 2005.
